In 2012, the Al Barry Foundation will expand its reach to military families and the general civilian population by serving patients challenged by cancer and temporary or permanent limited mobility. The decision is a result of three years of research and learning more about the patients we have served and the challenges they and their caregivers face.
Not only have we responded to Wounded Warriors at Bethesda and Landstuhl medical facilities, we have responded to Veterans across the country who were recovering from broken limbs and surgery as well as those in Hospice care. Patients who have used the modular medical apparel have included diabetics and patients in nursing homes.
We will keep you posted on our progress and our efforts to gain financial support for our programs and services.
